Holistica

My method

I combine classical psychiatry with Yoga Nidra, pranayama and work with the nervous system. See what a holistic approach to treating depression, anxiety, stress and insomnia looks like

My method — psychiatry that sees the person as a whole

Pharmacotherapy is one of the tools. Not the only one.

After 18 years of psychiatric practice I see one thing clearly: simply prescribing a medication is often not enough. The body holds tension that a pill cannot reach. Breathing becomes shallow. The nervous system stays in alarm mode — for years.

Thats why I work differently.

Three levels I work on

Mind — diagnosis and pharmacotherapy

I make a reliable psychiatric diagnosis based on medical knowledge and over 20 years of experience. If medication is necessary — I discuss it with you, explain why and monitor the effects. If its not needed — I dont prescribe it "just in case."

Body — Yoga Nidra and pranayama

I am a certified yoga instructor RYT 500 and a Yoga Nidra instructor. I know how the body reacts to stress and how working with breath and deep relaxation can physically change the state of the nervous system. This is not an alternative to psychiatry — its an extension of it.

Nervous system — regulation and balance

Chronic stress, burnout, anxiety — these all happen in the body, not only in the mind. Nervous system regulation techniques (pranayama, the Hawkins method, Yoga Nidra) help exit the alarm mode and rebuild stability from the ground up.

What this means for you in practice?

At the first appointment I dont only look for symptoms. I ask about your life, body, breathing, relationships, sleep and history. I make a psychiatric diagnosis — and at the same time I look more broadly.

We build the treatment plan together. It may include:

  • pharmacotherapy — if needed

  • work with breath and the nervous system — almost always

  • Yoga Nidra as support for regulation — if you want

  • a therapeutic program — for people ready for deeper work

I dont disappear after issuing a prescription. I accompany you through the process.

Why this method works differently?

"I see the person as a whole — and I guide them that way."

I dont treat symptoms in isolation. I look at the mind, body, breath and the patients life together. And I see that patients experience this approach as different from anything they knew before — both for my patients and for me.
